Adam Browning
Director of Academic Innovation + AI ImplementationWashington Leadership Academy
Adam Browning leads the DC AI Collaborative and oversees artificial intelligence strategy and instructional innovation at Washington Leadership Academy. He works directly with educators to integrate AI into classroom practice in ways that strengthen instruction, support student agency, and reduce educator workload.
As both a strategic leader and classroom teacher, Adam grounds the Collaborative’s work in lived classroom experience. He supports educators in piloting AI-supported instructional strategies, facilitates cross-school learning, and helps translate practice into shared frameworks and resources.
Adam’s leadership ensures that the DC AI Collaborative remains practice-driven, educator-led, and centered on responsible, human-centered use of AI.
Ashley Jeffrey
Chief Strategy OfficerWashington Leadership Academy
Ashley Jeffrey leads vision-setting, partnership development, and long-term strategy at Washington Leadership Academy. Her work focuses on building systems that ensure students are prepared for long-term success in college, career, and life.
Ashley works across teams and with external partners to design and sustain initiatives that expand opportunity, strengthen instructional coherence, and support postsecondary readiness. She brings a strategic lens to aligning school priorities, community partnerships, and organizational growth.
Through her leadership, Ashley helps ensure that Washington Leadership Academy, and the DC AI Collaborative it supports, remain grounded in equity, strong relationships, and outcomes that endure well beyond graduation.
Eric Collazo
Executive DirectorWashington Leadership Academy
Eric Collazo serves as Executive Director of Washington Leadership Academy and provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the DC AI Collaborative.
Eric brings extensive experience as a school leader, educator, and system builder, with a career rooted in creating high-quality learning environments that prepare students to thrive in the world and change it for the better. His leadership has guided WLA’s growth as a nationally recognized school committed to equity, innovation, and student-centered design.
As Executive Director, Eric ensures that the DC AI Collaborative is aligned with WLA’s mission and values while supporting sustainable partnerships, community trust, and long-term impact. His work emphasizes responsible innovation, educator development, and expanding opportunity for students and schools across Washington, DC.
